Is it possible to make cream wafers at home? (the long thin crispy cookies with white sugar in between)?

You know...those sugary cookies that come in a block?

I know voortman makes them. Is there a recipe out there? Is it possible to make cream wafers at home? (the long thin crispy cookies with white sugar in between)?
You could make them but it would be REALLY messy and hard because the thin little cookie layers are really fragile and can break while the cookies are being prepared.....Is it possible to make cream wafers at home? (the long thin crispy cookies with white sugar in between)?
