What is your experience (good and bad) with using over-the-counter progesterone cream for estrogen dominance?

I recently started using progesterone cream to TRY to get relief for extreme breast tenderness (painful 2 weeks out of a month). What is your experience with OTC progesterone? Weight gain? Weight loss? Other results?What is your experience (good and bad) with using over-the-counter progesterone cream for estrogen dominance?
I tried a progesterone cream for hormonal balance. It seemed to help and I really didnt have any abnormal side effects that would make me stop using it if I needed it still. I did gain weight, but at the same time I also got the Depo Shot and I think it was more from that than anything else :)
