If there is no rash can you use regular baby lotion? When changing a baby girls diaper; how often do you use a cream or lotion on her after wards?
If you want a barrier cream, just use vaseline. I wouldn't put actual lotion down there. When changing a baby girls diaper; how often do you use a cream or lotion on her after wards?
I just keep my little girls area clean there's really no point in puttin cream down there if there's no issue. But everyone's diffrent. Lotion isn't a good idea unlees your lookin for a yeast infection or uti..... But just keep it clean and everything should be peachy....
i use as little product on my baby as possible.
with all the recent scare concerning ingredients in baby lotions %26amp; washes %26amp; whatnot, i figure if they can be avoided, all the better!
if there's no rash, no dry skin, %26amp; her skin is fine on it's own, why use anything?
if she *does* have a rash (hasn't since the first couple weeks of life, she's 3 months now) i used Boudreaux's butt paste. it was great when she was passing meconium still, made it slide right off instead of stick to her skin.
everytime i change her i use A%26amp;D or desitin clear--just about the same as A%26amp;D, but no mediciney smell. i wasn't using anything as instructed by an infant care class. then she got a horrible yeast infection that took weeks to clear up. you need something as a barrier when she wets--it doesn't matter how quick you change her. you can even use vaseline. or aquafor, though expensive.
I have a boy and use a bit of baby lotion on cotton wool to get him super clean after cleaning him with water or wipes (when he poos). If he wees I just use wipes. Everytime I change him I put on Sudocrem after which prevents nappy rash, and treats any problems unlike Vaseline.
I only use wipes have the time unless she has a poopy diaper. I read in a book if you use wipes to much it can cause irritation. If my daughter poops then I use A%26amp;D oitment on her bum afterwards and after a bath. other than that i just put a clean dry diaper on.
I only use diaper rash cream is she is a bit red. I dont put loition at all in that area. I put corn starch (johnson %26amp; johnson's) VERY lightly, to keep it fresh smelling and soft. Dont use a bunch cus it will cause gunk in the cracks lol.
i use baby johnson and it works great but let me tell you i your baby has arush that is really bad use it everytime you chang her but if it not that bad maybe 2 timesa day and see how its going but using johnson_johnson is real good lotion
I always used A%26amp;D ointment ....after every change just to keep her from getting irritated or a rash.
You shouldn't use baby lotion, it will not block the wetness from the skin, and could irritate their bottom even more.
I prefer desitin and I only use it if she has a rash. I wouldn't put regular lotion in her diaper area..it may give her a urinary tract infection.
I use Boudreaux's Butt Paste, and have only used it when she had a rash. It cleared it up right away (within 24 hours).
Only use lotion when she has a rash. It isn't necessary any other time. I like A%26amp;D Zinc Oxide Cream.
