Does any1 remember ice cream bonbons? they were replaced with stuff like dibs, but their just not the same?

they came in a little tub, i think their was about 20 in the container. they were just plain ice cream and a chocolate shell. i've found other things called bonbons but their not at all the same. things i've found are candies, or ice cream with cookies in them.... would be great if i can find a place around federal way WA that still carries them. also cinnamon chips? like chocolate chips for cookies, only their cinnamon chips.

Have not seen them in years. Used to get them at movie theaters. I ahve made them before as well. Used a melon baller to make ice cream balls. Had a recipe ( Joy of Cooking maybe? ) for the hard shell chocolate. Stuck the balls on a toothpick to dip and put them on waxed paper to harden.Does any1 remember ice cream bonbons? they were replaced with stuff like dibs, but their just not the same?
I do remember them. I think they stopped making them. Were they part of some sort news making tragedy? Like maybe they made people sick or something? Or was that naybe Klondike bars? I don't remember.
